ASE, BASF, DuPont, I-CAR Gold Class, Saturn and SEM
In order to keep our facility and employees on the cutting edge of the collision repair industry, we offer the latest equipment and training opportunities. Our employees routinely attend national trade shows, conferences and continuing education classes. Proctors sponsors employee training and testing through I-CAR, ASE, DuPont, SEM, and Saturn. Certificates and training recognition awards for our staff are on display in the customer reception area of our office.
An overview of each training/certification organization follows:
I-CAR Gold Class
I-CAR, the Inter Industry Conference on Auto Collision Repair, is an international not-for-profit training organization whose mission is to research, develop and deliver quality technical education programs on collision repair not only for the repairers but also for the insurance companies personnel. Through I-CAR, training courses are available covering the entire repair process from identifying and analyzing damage to measuring and straightening, welding and structural repair, restoring corrosion protection, correcting frame, unibody and wheel alignment, repairing plastics, matching paint finishes, and diagnosing complicated electronic systems.
The I-CAR Gold Class designation is awarded annually to qualifying shops who have achieved the highest levels of training. In the C.S.R.A. there are only a few such shops and A.C. Proctors is proud to be one of them again this year. To qualify for this designation, our facility employees must attend and pass a minimum of 80% completion ratio for coursework annually. This means that our employees, including our office staff and all technicians, attend more than just one seminar one day a year. And as this is an annual designation, we must continue completing training courses and reapply each year. We are proud that we have been awarded the Gold Class Professionals designation for 6 consecutive years.

The ASE organization, Automotive Service Excellence, is an ongoing testing and certification program in which our employees actively participate. The rigorous testing program is a nationally recognized standard of excellence in the automotive industry. Carroll Proctor, Bill Bowman, Manager/Estimator, Raleigh Walker, Shop Foreman, Chuck Jones, Repair Technician, and Steve Stinson, Refinish Technician, are all ASE certified.

Our refinish technician, Steve Stinson, as well as our entire staff are certified DuPont Chroma System applications technicians. In addition, Proctors has successfully been accepted into the Dupont warranty program thus allowing us to offer a five year paint warranty.

SEM
With the majority of vehicles utilizing new age materials and plastic components, certification and training at the SEM Plastics Repair School was an obvious choice for our repair technicians. From our office personnel to our repair and refinish technicians, the Charlotte, North Carolina school educated our people on interior and exterior repair and refinish techniques for automotive plastics.
